Los Angeles or L.A., as many know it, is a huge, sprawling city. This place is known for the movies industry, some peculiar vintage vibe in some of its streets, and it's also one of the best places in the country to grab a bite.

Local Business Reviews and Happenings

No businesses added yet.

The city of angels is the most populous place in California. It's located near a desert, but is surrounded by valleys, forests, and beaches along the Pacific Ocean. Many tourists think of L.A. and immediately think of Hollywood and blockbusters, but the truth is this city has much more to offer: culture, medicine, business, agriculture, international trade and, of course, tourism. Clearly, we can't forget that Los Angeles is a major center of TV productions and music recordings.

The city is divided into 8 districts:
-Downtown: where all the business take place (business district) and home to the Grand Avenue cultural corridor.
-Eastside: A zone that is quickly growing.
-Harbor Area: where you'll find the largest sea port of all USA.
-Hollywood: Lights, camera, action! Even if this place is no longer a popular spot for recording movies, the return of the Academy Awards and certain constructions gave this place the magic back.
-San Fernando Valley: The northern suburban portion of the city.
-South Central: It remains off tons of people's radar due to its violent fame.
-Westside: UCLA, residential areas, and the beaches!
-Wilshire: Here is where you'll find the famous Farmer's Market, The Grove shopping area, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art

L.A is one of the most diverse cities in the United States in terms of ethnicities and economic standing. Back in 2015, the city had an estimated population of 3,884,307 inhabitants. The climate here is rare and desirable for other cities in the US. It's classified as subtropical-Mediterranean. This is why people from L.A. enjoy the sun year-round.

Public transportation in L.A. has an extensive bus system and many transit agencies, and a kind of new subway and elevated network. But it is not enough considering the population and the size of the city. There is not a bus likely to reach every corner, so you will often find yourself walking to your final destination.

Cycling conditions in the city and surrounding cities are in a transitional state. Nearby Santa Monica and Hermosa Beach have a modern bike infrastructure, but this is not the case for the entire city. People are buying bicycles due to the terrible car traffic of the city. For mountain bikers, L.A. is a good destination.

If you like the beach, then you can enjoy a little bit of sun and sand in Venice Beach. This place has a reputation for being the epicenter of California. This is also a great place for people watching, with skateboarders, radical pamphleteers, and bodybuilders.

The big celebrities are never far away in LA. To catch a just a little bit of Hollywood’s vibe, all you need to do is stroll the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where more than 2,400 figures from the entertainment world are immortalized with stars of gold lettering in the sidewalk. If you're a movie buff, look out for the famous hand and footprints at the Chinese Theatre.

If you are into art, you can visit the LACMA museum, which became a popular spot after the release of American Horror Story Hotel. This was the place that Lady Gaga's character visited for some fresh blood. The focal point is the BP Grand Entrance, which includes the stunning installation of Chris Burden's Urban Light. The Broad Contemporary Art Museum is home to a dazzling selection of modern works.

If you are feeling like a big spender, you can go for a walk on Rodeo Drive in nearby Beverly Hills and delight with the best designer stores that are there. You will definitely feel like a Kardashian!
