Costa Mesa's economy depends completely on the retail industry and the services industry. There is a mall called the South Coast Plaza that has over 322 stores and delights the sight with its architecture. This place alone has the highest volume regional shopping centers in the nation. That is a LOT! Costa Mesa also has 26 parks, a municipal golf course, 26 public schools, and 2 libraries.

The Orange County Fair takes place here in Costa Mesa, and the city receives each June an estimate of over one million visitors who are craving for some family fun! The fair is known popularly as the O.C. Fair and is a 23-day annual fair that is held every summer at the OC Fair & Event Center. If you love roller coasters, this is the place to be. 

They also celebrate a very spooky and fun Annual Scarecrow & Pumpkin Festival that was a long time tradition that was restarted back in 2013.

If you are into local shopping and eating, you can visit the Orange County Market Place, where you might find a treasure among others people "garbage."
