When the weather is good, you can enjoy scenic vistas of the Olympic Mountains and the Cascade Mountains. This is where the "Bellevue" name comes from. You can go to the hilltops or high-rise buildings to enjoy the panoramic feast.
This place is filled with culture, which is why it is the site of the popular annual Bellevue Arts and Crafts Fair that was originally the Pacific Northwest Fair. Other important events include the biennial Bellevue Sculpture Exhibition, the Bellevue 24-Hour Relay, and the Strawberry Festival, dedicated to the area’s strawberry farming history
Things to do in Bellevue
Visit the Bellevue Botanical Garden to feel all the nature and beauty of flower power. This lovely garden inside an urban refuge is a place to see, but also a place to learn, be inspired, and have some fun. They have activities throughout the year: plant sales, concerts, art exhibits, and holiday light festivities. This sounds like natural fun.
You must visit Downtown Park, an iconic place that is featured in almost every official Bellevue picture. This place is a very green spot inside the very busy urban downtown area- a reminder to people that taking breaks and breathing a little fresh air are never a bad idea.
You can visit Kelsey Creek Park & Farm, a place that is located in Bellevue's Downtown, but still maintains a country life. If you like animals, you will be glad to know that you can find ponies, sheep, goats, chickens, pigs, and rabbits here. Learn everything about life on a farm while you have lots of fun.
For some more fun and education, KidsQuest Children’s Museum is dedicated to making learning fun for younger children (ages up to 10), focusing on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) disciplines. Besides the many permanent and temporary exhibitions, the Museum schedules many events throughout the year, including summer camps and weekly programs.
