This is the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Woodland Hills. My husband had surgery here. While I was waiting during the long, boring hours during his surgery I went around the hospital.
This is the indoor parking and the parking area is the first thing you see when you arrive. There are outdoor parking areas as well. The indoor parking area has multiple stories and is very big. But it is always full of cars. It’s amazing how many sick people there are. ;(
Visitors can get to the building through the covered outdoor paths like this and various signs guide very well.
If visitors need to pick up patients, instead of going to the parking lot, they can drive up to this pick-up area. Usually patients are waiting here in wheel chairs. There are benches to sit down on while waiting. Also, there is a designated area to return wheel chairs and patients’ linens.
A farmer’s market is held here every Thursday. It was after 2 PM, and many of the vendors were already closing by that time.
There is an outdoor coffee shop with pastries. There is an indoor cafeteria as well.
There are parking areas for bicycles and an electric car was going around giving a ride to people within the hospital. I wanted to get a ride very much, but decided to get some exercise by walking around. ;)
Well… Woodland Hills Medical Center is a hospital after all. You can see ambulances waiting.
I took another picture of the Woodland Hills Medical Center from the pick-up area.
