We went to the Hudson Theatres to see "Loopholes," a musical comedy about dealing with the I.R.S.
Hudson Theatres consists of 3 theatres, an espresso bar, and an art gallery:

-Hudson Mainstage (99 seats)
-Hudson Backstage (99 seats)
-Hudson Guild (43 seats)
-Lobby - Espresso Bar and Art Gallery

Comedy Central Stage at the Hudson.

Since their established in 1991, the Hudson Theatres have received recognition for their artistic contributions, including awards and nominations from LA Weekly, Los Angeles Drama Critic’s Circle, Ovations, NAACP, GLAADMEDIA and DramaLogue. In 1992, the Hudson received the LADCC award for establishing a new vibrant theatre district in Hollywood by creating the industrious "Theatre Row Hollywood." Also in 1992, Lily Tomlin presented the theatres with the Charlie Award given by the Hollywood Arts Council for "meritorious contributions to Hollywood."  In 2004, the theaters received recognition for work on Theatre Row Hollywood by the city of Los Angeles and the California State Assembly.

The Hudson Theatres is not like large Broadway theaters but it gave me an artistic vibe that you can feel from small artistic places.

First, look at the stair railings to the theater! Isn't it art itself or what?

The other interesting part of the Hudson Theatres is the bar and gallery area where you can feel the artistic vibe even more.
I especially liked this little nook where you can sit down and watch people go by.

Red velvet curtain and black and white stripe and pretty colored cautions...
it is too bad the grainy blurred picture doesn't do it justice!

We waited at the bar to get in to the theater.

Finally enjoyed the "Loopholes" musical.

It was funny that the actors mentioned how good the Korean sauna in L.A. is during the show.

The environment is not luxurious and spectacular like Broadway theaters, but the artistic vibe and cozy little place and talented script provided much fun to enjoy!
