Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park (Grand Junction, CO)

Black Canyon is located in Gunnison National Park in western Colorado. The park contains 12 miles (19 km.) of the 48-mile (77 km.) long canyon of the Gunnison River. Gunnison National Park has the most dramatic section of the Black Canyon. The gorge's name comes from the fact that parts of it only receive 33 minutes of sunlight each day.
