As you might know, if you are reading this group, I'm not a vegan. Even if meat and dairy are still a part of my diet, I've been trying to eat a lot cleaner and healthier. I'm incorporating vegetables into my meals (I'm not a veggie fan but I'm finding ways to do it) with the purpose of losing some weight. For the first time in my life, I'm doing this for health and not for esthetics. I'm not suffering from any disease (thank God) but I'm trying to avoid them in a near future because I'm not getting any younger. In a few years, I want to be a mom and by having a messy food routine and some extra pounds things could only get more complicated. This is why I took this "healthy road".

I'm not alone on this, my boyfriend joined me... And doing this with someone makes it a lot easier! I cook for the two of us and I'm trying to find ways and cooking skills to adopt this healthy life in a very yummy way. This is the only way we won't get bored and quit.

Anyways I also made a huge decision: I started a house-garden, an orchard. I knew nothing about plants so YouTube is now my very best friend. I went to the store and bought the soil, the seedbeds, the earthworm humus, the seeds (of course) and some other stuff that I needed. I started watching tutorials for the seeds I have and wrote down every single pointer. I'm now germinating tomatoes, celery, zucchini, peppers, leeks, and broccoli.

The need to grow, and after the first green leafs start to come out you need to wait until they are a bit bigger and stronger (and wait for the right moon phase, according to my dad) to transplant them to the orchard or to a bigger pot where they'll grow strong (**keeping my fingers crossed)

Here are my babies, of course now all you'll see is dirt... But I will post the progress as they grow.

The reason why I did it:
1. It's healthier to grow your own food. This way you are sure that this is 100% organic.
2. It's cheaper (veggies are VERY expensive in my country -Venezuela- right now. Well, everything is)
