On the way to Wickford, a heron was wondering around looking for food in the early morning.

I set my camera focusing on the heron for a while, and suddenly an egret flew in gracefully.
I was very glad to see it.

These birds are very sensitive to the surrounding area, so to take picture of them requires great patience. After waiting about 10 minutes I was able to take a picture of a flying heron.

I also found a lotus field, which probably fascinates people visiting here.

Wickford

Wickford is a small village in the town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Originally named after Wickford in Essex, England, the village is located on the west side of Narragansett Bay, about 20 minutes from Newport. Built around one of the most well protected natural harbors on the eastern seaboard, it features one of the largest collections of 18th century dwellings in the northeast. The majority of the village's historic homes and buildings continue to be owned by private families and have remained largely intact on their original foundations.

I love the reflection of church bell top in the water. I like to make an album book with a series of those pictures if I can find the opportunity to do it.

I never felt before how lonely it is to go the last 20 miles to the Rode Island seashore like this time. I felt grateful to my photographer friends with whom I came here many times.
