Buena Park is a city located 5 miles from Disneyland, 10 miles from Huntington Beach, and 20 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. The city is home to a number of tourist attractions including Knott's Berry Farm, Pirate's Dinner Adventure, and Teatro Martini (a dinner comedy theater)- definitely, a place to have tons of fun!
Did you know that original Spanish explorers settled on the enormous ranchos by land grants made by the King of Spain? Yes, before being a place of fun and themed parks, this was a historic place.
Buena Park's E-Zone district, located along Beach Boulevard, is home to most of the city's several well-known tourist destinations: Knott's Berry Farm theme park,Pirate's Dinner Adventure Show, and Medieval Times dinner show. The E-Zone was home to the Movieland Wax Museum, one of the largest of its kind in the world until it closed in 2005; a Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum, across the street from the Wax Museum; and the Japanese Village and Deer Park on Knott Avenue.
Other Things to do in Buena Park:
People here in Buena Park like to have fun, medieval style. This is why we specifically recommend you to go buy some tickets for Medieval Times. Pick a team and a color and just relax and enjoy a good night, a good beer, and a delicious turkey leg while enjoying the live action tournament.
For some extra familiar fun, you can visit Knott's Soak City U.S.A. (seasonal), the water-themed sister park of Knott’s berry Farm. You can be sure of something: you will get very wet and you will also have a blast. There is nothing better than a good water slide (or half a dozen).
Another seasonal treat from the Knott’s company is its annual Knott’s Scary Farm event where the entire park is transformed along a Halloween-theme. The month-long event is the largest of its type among theme parks, with humor infused with horror. During the Christmas season, the park reinvents itself as Knott’s Merry Farm, with Santa, elves, Christmas crafts, holiday decorations, and even a nightly snow!
If you need a break from rides and theme parks, visit the Ralph B. Clark Interpretive Center for an in-depth look at Orange County in prehistoric times. The programs, exhibits, and tours feature fossils (including a 9 million year-old baleen whale skeleton) and geology. Admission is free.
