Our wardrobe has been feeding on all kinds of fruits since last year, making pineapples, bananas, and watermelons the favorite match for our outfits. Do you want to see it with your own eyes? Clothing stores now look like some sort of fashion fruit shops!



 

The prints have the quality to make a garment more fun or formal. With them, we can give a completely different look to each of our outfits. This season, the fun prints, like the pineapples, have become a 'must-have' no matter if you're on the beach or in the city, seems like the urban style with pineapples will continue ruling for some time.



 

Blouses, dresses, accessories, everything! Absolutely everything is filled with this fruit. Combining garments with pineapples or any other pattern is not as difficult as it may seem. If the pineapples are over black or dark colors, other neutral colors will be the winning combination. You should opt for denim, white, black and navy blue. If it is in the footwear, jeans and shorts are the best pairs.
 

But… Why Pineapples? Well, it’s not just Pineapples (fortunately)

 
Every year when the summer arrives, we move to the tropical style. It is logical, we are tired of the cold of winter and what we want is to think of heat, on the beach, in exotic fruits. And that's great, but printing pineapples on all clothes, all personal accessories and even on accessories for home, whoa. Can we at least we vary with other fruits? Or maybe with flowers and plants, also tropical, so that it’s not all the same thing?


 
There are clothes with pineapples everywhere, not to mention the manicure with minipiñas (mini-pineapples) in each nail… I mean, “nailart”, which is what it is called now. There are people who take a whole pineapple to the beach or the pool just to take a picture next to it. There are even those who put sunglasses on the pineapple because they think it looks cute. Have we gone crazy? I think a little, yes.



 

It is true that the use of social networks, and the Internet in general, influences this kind of phenomena. A decade ago, fashion trends took longer to spread around the world and we did not have access to as many images as now. Maybe that's why they saturated our stores a little less, although we have always been quite obsessive with these issues anyway.


 
 
When something becomes a trend, there we go to buy it as if there were no other possibilities. We should remember that what once was original and trendy, will soon become boring and tiresome. That is why my advice, in this case, is, ok, you can buy two or even three garments with pineapples, but please don’t fill up your wardrobe with pineapples or fruits because, even if fashion trends come and go, you don’t want to be left with tons of fruity clothes.
