I am a fashion lover but I am also a movie lover. So when both of them mix, for me it is very cool and fun.

Some people relate the Fashion industry with a cold and superficial world where everyone has to be perfect all the time and making mistakes is not permitted.But actually, there are stories behind all those “Perfect” people that might surprise us.

I wanted to post today to list a few movies that I love, that tell stories about the Fashion Industry and some of their most important icons.

Coco Before Chanel 
Based on the story of Coco Chanel before becoming the great fashion designer of her time. It shows a side of her I never even imagined. She wasn’t always the fabulous person we all got to see after her career reached a high point.

Yves Saint Laurent  
The movie centers on the life and fame of designer Ives Saint Laurent, from the beginning to the peak of his career. I love how they adapted the movie to the 60’s, and the costume design is just beautiful. It is very interesting to watch a true fashion genius’ life.

The Devil wears Prada
Based on Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine. The movie shows us the high price you pay to be on top. And how it is not easy at all to introduce yourself in the fashion world. I like how straight forward the movie is, leaving nothing unsaid.

Valentino: The Last Emperor
Last but not least, there is the Valentino documentary, which tells the story of the life and career of the Italian designer. It also approaches how Valentino and his long-time partner have survived for so many years in a world so close-minded.
